Front Pool Refurbishing Status

Update 6/21/25:
Pool Update! The front pool is open! Hours of operation are posted on the calendar
Update 5/18/25:
"The plaster was completed yesterday (Sunday), it has been filled with water, and our employees are cleaning and setting up furniture. We are close to opening; however, it will be a few days before we are ready. Maybe this weekend. The board wants to thank Stacey for the work and effort he has put into this project, and lighting a fire under the contractor."

Update 6/14/2025:
”The refurbishment of the front pool is ongoing. The new coping and tile were set, the shell was prepped for plaster, and the bond coat has been applied. The final plumbing repairs and plaster install is scheduled for 6/14-15 weather permitting. The coping to deck expansion joint is to be installed next week and opening procedures will begin."

Update 5/18/25:
"There will be a $300 one-time assessment to each unit for the repair of the Front pool & hot tub (done in 2025) and the back pool (done in 2026). This assessment will be due by Dec 31, 2025. The one-time $300 payment can be paid in increments over the next six months. Details regarding where to send your payment will be posted in the next couple weeks."

Update 5/10/25:
Mallard Lakes Front Pool Explanation of repair problems: When the contractor removed the old surface, they discovered that the coping (area on top of pool connected to the cement decking) and tile needed to be replaced. They were ordered two weeks ago, and resurfacing, coping and tile replacement won’t start until all materials have been received. We don’t have a timeline for delivery of the materials. We will inform everyone as soon as we know.

The selected contractors were sought late last spring and a contract was signed in Nov. Work began in April as soon as temperature would allow. Unfortunately, during the repair underlying issues were found that must be addressed.

There will be a delayed opening of the Front Pool.

When will the Front Pool Open? We do not have an exact date, so we hesitate in giving you a timeline. As the repairs progress, we may be able to give you an estimated date.
Thankfully, we have another Pool on the property.
The board has decided to extend the normal early season hours of the Back Pool to accommodate a larger number of users at that location.
